Widely regarded as the turning point of the Quest for the Crest Sailfish Series presented by Teledyne Raymarine, Sailfish Challenge is where teams cement their run for the Burgundy Jacket or watch it slip away. Built around flexibility and strategic decision-making, Sailfish Challenge rewards crews that take challenges head-on and make the right moves when it matters most. Featuring checkpoints at Government Cut, Hillsboro Inlet, and Lake Worth Inlet, teams have the freedom to adapt to changing conditions and stay on the fish no matter where the bite develops.

At the heart of Sailfish Challenge, a partnership with The Billfish Foundation reinforces a shared commitment to the future of the sport. United by the belief that sportfishing only thrives when billfish populations do too, the tournament serves as a platform where competition and conservation work hand in hand, ensuring every angler has the chance to chase sailfish for years to come.

Each year, the Sailfish Challenge champion is rewarded with an exclusive satellite tagging expedition alongside The Billfish Foundation, deploying a tag in their honor and leaving a lasting mark on billfish conservation.

Early Entry Deadline: February 3, 2027 ($1,200 per boat + tax)
Registration Deadline: February 17, 2027 ($1,700 per boat + tax)

All tournament entry fees are non-refundable. Teams may register online, by mail to Bluewater Movements, Inc., PO Box 50114, Lighthouse Point, FL 33074, or in person at the Captain’s Meeting. Mail-in entries must be postmarked by the tournament’s early entry deadline of February 3, 2027. Teams registering in person may pay by cash, Visa, Mastercard, or American Express, with a 3% convenience fee applied to all credit card transactions. CHECKS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AT CAPTAIN’S MEETING. All tournament entry fees and optional calcutta payments must be finalized prior to the close of the Captain’s Meeting.
